All articles submitted to ELEKTIF: Jurnal Elektronika & Informatika undergo a rigorous plagiarism check using the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software (up to 20% maximum similarity). We adhere to a strict policy against plagiarism and take appropriate measures to ensure the originality of all published content.
Our approach to plagiarism is based on common sense and good faith. We assume that articles submitted to ELEKTIF are original works, and any reused content is properly cited and attributed. In cases where there is a high level of similarity, we assess each situation individually, taking into consideration the nature of the content, such as materials and methods, which may overlap with previous research due to the replicability rule of science.
Instances of egregious plagiarism are promptly addressed. This includes contacting the authors' respective institutions and blacklisting them from further submissions to ELEKTIF. Examples of such plagiarism include intentionally misleading the journal about the origin of the research, presenting someone else's work as one's own, publishing an article that has already been published elsewhere (also known as self-plagiarism), submitting an article that extensively copies someone else's work (even with proper citation), providing false or deceptive attribution, or engaging in inaccurate authorship practices (such as not giving credit to a co-author).
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. By enforcing stringent plagiarism policies, we ensure the originality and integrity of the research published in ELEKTIF.
